Completing Credit Counseling Before Filing Bankruptcy

The 2005 Amendments to the Bankruptcy Code put into place a requirement to complete a credit counseling course before filing a Bankruptcy Case. Our office currently uses Hummingbird Credit Counseling to assist our clients in quickly meeting their credit counseling requirement. You can go to hbcce.org to complete your credit counseling within 180 days from filing your case. I have an account with Hummingbird and the cost of taking the credit counseling is covered in the cost of your bankruptcy filing.
